ABOUT COURSE

This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge about the cognitive processes underlying learning and memory. The course covers such topics as associative and non-associative learning, classical and operant conditioning, reinforcement, punishment and avoidance, generalization, observational and motor learning, short-term memory, long-term memory, implicit memory, explicit memory, working memory and its components, encoding and retrieval, distortion, forgetting, childhood amnesia, autobiographical memory, and false memories.
